Drenthe Province enters into cooperation with ISA

The Province of Drenthe recently put out to tender a European contract for the provision of physical security, reception and hospitality services. Following a thorough assessment procedure, International Security Agency B.V. (ISA) was awarded the contract. On 24 August, the five-year cooperation agreement was signed by Mr Henk-Jan Schimmel (photo right, Team Leader for Administrative Services and Buildings) and Mr Geert Sijtzema (photo left, General Manager of ISA). As of 1 November 2016, ISA will be providing staff for security and hospitality at Drenthe's provincial government building.

The Provinciehuis in Drenthe is a political organisation that is supported by the civil service. In administrative terms, the Province House accommodates the Queen's Commissioner and the deputies, as well as the administrative organisation, which consists of approximately 550 employees. Every day, the Province of Drenthe receives work-related visitors at the official and administrative levels, and occasionally members of the Dutch government and dignitaries. In addition, the provincial government building houses several other organisations, such as the Regional Implementation Service and Prolander, with approximately 150 employees.

The Province of Drenthe expects a proactive attitude from the new service provider. Representativeness, customer focus, professionalism and flexibility are all characteristics that the Province of Drenthe wants to see in the services provided by ISA. Geert Sijtzema: "Thinking along with the Province of Drenthe in order to bring security and hospitality policy to the next level is one of the tasks that we will be undertaking in the coming years together with the Province. We want to achieve this by, among other things, deploying Tailor-made High-End-Hospitality-Profile training programme of our ISA_Academy. By offering the team this specific training programme, we are changing the entire service from reactive to proactive and are gradually achieving a proactive and hospitable service at the provincial government building in Drenthe."
